Asus EeePC 1004DN Official Picture With Optical Drive

I reported on the old site that the Asus Eee PC 1004DN looked to become the first Eee PC with an optical disc drive.

Well – the netbook has all gone official as it’s cropped up on Asus‘s website.

It looks pretty good actually.

It seems to share the keyboard of the 1000HE which is no bad thing and best of all it’s not white!

Ooooo – they’ve even thrown in a fingerprint scanner to protect your data.

As I thought there’s nothing much new under the hood other than that optical drive.

You get the Atom 1.66GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 120GB hard drive plus Wi-fi and Bluetooth.

As for us Brits getting our mits on the Asus Eee PC 1004DN – no news as yet from Asus UK HQ.
