Microsoft Surface Book 2 now available in UK
The larger and more powerful 15-inch version of Microsoft’s Surface Book 2 is now available to buy in the UK.
Previously, the bigger and beefier 15-inch convertible had only been launched in the US, but the good people of the UK can now get their mitts on one.
Surface Book 2 15-inch
The 15-inch model features an 8th-gen Core i7 processor alongside a more powerful GPU than you’ll get in the 13.5-inch Surface Book 2 – it runs with a GeForce GTX 1060 with 6GB of video memory (as opposed to a GTX 1050 with 2GB of video RAM).

So there’s more pixel-shifting power here. That’s just as well as the 15-inch PixelSense detachable display has a resolution of 3,240 x 2,160. This is pretty neat when compared to the smaller Surface Book 2’s 3,000 x 2,000. The brain boxes out there will have realised that, as it’s a bigger screen, it actually has a slightly lower pixel density. However, this is a very minor difference and nothing you’d actually notice.
Another benefit of the bigger Surface Book 2 is a beefier battery. This boasts up to 17 hours of stamina.
Finally, you get built in Xbox Wireless radio. This lets you connect Xbox controllers and headsets to play the most popular PC game titles wherever you want.
