Alienware X51 Gaming PC is a Mini Marvel

Alienware X51 Gaming mini DesktopWhat’s the size of an Xbox but will keep the hard-core PC gamer satisfied? Here’s a clue – it’s from Alienware and called X51.

A desktop puter from Alienware that is a handy 95mm thick.

The Alienware X51 is a sexy, skinny desktop machine that still pumps out enough of the fun stuff to keep you grinning and winning.

Naturally it’s covered in gamer credible grilles, glowing panels and spiky bits of black plastic just so eveyone can tell it’s a slab of potent Alienware kit.

Under the perfectly sculpted hood lies a second edition Intel Core iSeries processor (i3, i5 or i7 depending on how deep your pockets are), and Nvidia GeForce GT or GTX graphics cards.

The entry level X51 costs £699 and is loaded with a Core i3 processor, 4GB of memory and a 1GB Nvidia GeForce GT 545 graphics card, as well as a 1TB 7,200rpm hard drive.

If you want to be able to take over nations then hand over £950 for a Core i7-2600 CPU clocked at 3.4GHz, 8GB of RAM and a 1GB Nvidia GeForce GTX 555 graphics card.

You get a keyboard and mouse bundled in and being a PC you can upgrade the hard drive, graphics card and memory as tech moves on and after your bank balance has levelled out again.

This looks to be a neat package that will be portable enough for the LAN party and much easier to tinker with than an expensive lap top.
