Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro Faces Huge Delay
After being asked about the Xperia Pro on my personal Facebook page I decided I’d better do some digging around and, sorry to say this Andy, but it’s not looking good.
It appears that Carphone Warehouse has pushed the expected release date for the Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro back to October – the Android smartphone was pencilled in for availability at the end of July!
Son Eric have cited supply-chain issues following the horrendous earthquake in Japan for the massive dealy 🙁
SE says to expect the Pro in Q4 this year now.
The Xperia Pro is equipped with a 3.7-inch touchscreen tips the scales at a featherweight 140g.
The slide out QWERTY keyboard is said to rival that of the BlackBerry and the 1GHz under the hood should ensure that everything runs as it should.
The SE Xperia Pro comes loaded with Android 2.3 Gingerbread which means Flash support which means that you can watch your fill of YouTube clips and other such online videos without any hassle.
The specs continue with an all new 8.1-megapixel camera which is fitted with the excellent EXMOR R lens which will slurp up video recorded at 720p. You will be able to watch your cinematography back on the crystal clear BRAVIA screen.
Do you reckon it will be worth the wait?
