ASUS Transformer AiO – Convertible Tablet to Windows 8 Desktop PC

We’ve already seen tablets that transform in to laptops but at Computex 2012, ASUS unveiled its new Transformer AiO, a combination of desktop PC and tablet.

The Transformer AiO can switch between being a fully-fledged all-in-one desktop machine and a handheld tablet thanks to it dual booting Windows and Android operating systems.

The AiO comes bundled with an an extended 18.4-inch LED-backlit 10-point touchscreen display that’s packing ASUS SonicMaster technology and integrated speakers for crystal-clear sound.

The display can be easily removed from its base station to become a wireless display for the AiO PC, extending the range of the PC and allowing users to continue with their work anywhere in the home.

The very same wireless display can also be converted into an Android-based 18.4-inch tablet for the home with a press of a button.

I’m guessing that an 18-inch tablet is not meant to be used on the tube but more fitting for taking from desk to meeting room.
