botvac d80 d8 backGiacomo Marini, Neato’s chairman and CEO proudly states:

A Neato robot vacuum is truly a ‘bot with a brain’. Neato knows where it’s been, where it’s going and how to navigate an entire household. No other robot vacuum has this kind of intelligence. Combined with its powerful suction, the addition of a Neato to a home means one more task can be taken off the household chore list, leaving the owner with the gift of time to do other things.”

Both models, priced at £399.99 and £449.99 are available for pre-order from today, from Appliances Direct and Amazon.co.uk.

All Neato robot vacuums use the company’s patented Neato Botvision technology that combines laser scanning, room mapping and real time object detection to plan the most efficient course to clean a home in record time. It can move from room to room, and knows when to return to its base for recharging — and then automatically goes back to the exact spot where it left off to finish the job. Unlike round robot vacuums that randomly bounce around a room, Neato moves in a methodical path, leaving straight lines on the carpet for that just-vacuumed, clean-home look.

Neato’s advanced SpinFlow Power Clean system, a combination of powerful suction and precision brushes, easily removes pet hair and debris from all floor surfaces, including hardwood, tile and carpet. Neato’s unique D-shape and patented CornerClever™ technology means Neato moves deftly into corners where dirt and crumbs often hide. With the largest brushes and dirt bins on the market, Neato covers more square footage and picks up more debris than any other robot vacuum.

The D85 is priced at £449 on the Neato Robotics website.

I’d love to test one to see how it copes with my home’s mixture of hardwood flooring, rugs, carpet, vinyl and coir. I’ll let you know if I get chance to review one.
