Headroom 2016 – the place for personal Hi-Fi
London’s headroom show, which offers music lovers the chance to try the largest range of demonstrable headphones in the UK, is returning to the capital in January 2016. The unique two-day experience brings together the world’s leading portable audio manufacturers and showcases the latest products, technology and trends within a very special and deliciously exclusive environment: Europe’s foremost recording and mastering studios, Metropolis.
I attended the very first Headroom show this year and it looks like it will be building upon its 2015 success.
I met a variety of products there for the first time – such as Chord’s HugoTT and 2Qute, Astell & Kern’s AK120 DAP, and much more. There’s a full write up if you want to see what the 2015 show encompassed.
The headroom show is a unique UK event, hosting the world’s leading portable audio brands at Metropolis, the most successful independent recording, mastering and production facility in Europe.
The event runs from Friday 29th to Saturday 30th January at Metropolis’ Chiswick studios and features the very latest headphones and portables, with the opportunity to try and buy. The world’s leading portable audio brands will be represented, including Sennheiser, Astell & Kern and B&W, and special discounts, promotions and exclusive offers will run throughout the two-day event.
The show offers an audio experience that’s refreshingly unique and dedicated to the blossoming headphone market and today’s contemporary music lover, from commuter to audiophile. The venue, Metropolis, has been home to artists including Rihanna, Michael Jackson and U2, plus an incredible 50% of the UK Top 40 chart is either recorded, mixed, mastered, or creatively treated within Metropolis’ stunning Grade II ‘Power House’ complex.
