HTC have leaked the One M9 on their website – does that still count?

htc one m9The HTC One M9 has been the focus of spy shots and misinformation but HTC have done the business themselves by this ‘leak’ on the official HTC website.

HTC have decided to tease us further ahead of the HTC One M9’s expected unveiling at MWC 2015 in March.

The HTC leak was spotted by a Netherlands tech site which found the reference to the HTC One M9 in HTC’s NL site coding. Either the coders were being a bit lazy or the brackets are being dropped as there was no HTC One (M9) to be seen, just HTC One M9. So, it appears the brackets will be dying with the HTC One (M8) then.

The site also mentions the catchphrase “One Life” which refers to an HTC promotion which was launched on Twitter over the weekend.

one life htc one m9HTC tweeted a photo two days ago with different shaped close-ups of a phone drawing. It used the hashtag OneLife and asked people to “pick a shape and recreate it”, before saying it may be used at MWC 2015.

This user-generated scheme is likely part of the HTC One M9 launch at MWC 2015 on March 1st and will no doubt feature snaps of everyday objects that kinda resemble the shapes above in an artistic way.

The HTC One M9 is expected to feature a 5-inch 1920 x 1080 display, Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM, 20.7-megapixel and 4-megapixel UltraPixel cameras as well as an updated Sense 7 UI.

I am so looking forward to this launch. There’s also rumours of a HTC smartwatch or other wearable being unveiled at the show too. Well, everyone has one so why not?
