HP Spectre – Sexy Ultraportable Priced and Available Now

HP Envy 14 SpectreThe HP Spectre is indeed a gorgeous looking laptop – we have been teased endlessly but now you can actually buy one!

The HP Envy 14 Spectre has silently slipped on to the virtual shelves today. But will the price leave you spooked?

The Spectre Ultrabook weighs 3.97lbs, is 0.79” thin, has a backlit keyboard and a sleek looking glass lid (think iPhone) – it’s pretty but could also be a fingerprint magnet.

So? How much?

The 14-inch HP Envy Spectre will hit you up for a not inconsiderable $1,399!

It actually starts at $1,649.99 but you get an instant discount that brings it down to $1400.

The specs include Intel’s Core i5-2467M processor and HD Graphics 3000, as well as NFC capabilities, a 128GB SSD, 4GB of memory and a 14-inch BrightView Infinity LED (1366 x 768) display. Not bad for entry level huh?

If you’ve got money burning a hole in your pocket you could up the specs to an Intel Core i7-2677M processor which will add $200 on to the bill.

There is no option to upgrade from the standard 4GB of memory but an upgrade to a larger 256GB SSD – which simply involves dual 128GB SSDs, will cost you another $300.

Meanwhile, we in the UK can register our interest here.
