ADATA SD600 external 3D NAND SSDs announced
ADATA Technology has announced the launch of the SD600 external SSD. These are packing high quality 3D TLC NAND and come in 256GB and 512GB variants.
The latest portable SSDs from ADATA promise speeds of 440MB/s read and 430MB/s write, easily outpacing external HDDs.
One of the best things is that the drives weigh a mere 90g. A truly portable external drive.
They will play nicely with Windows PC, Xbox One, PS4, and Android.
The SD600 uses impact-resistant materials in its sporty design to support active lifestyles. You get a choice of black or red finishes.
New generation architecture
Within the SD600 lies 3D TLC NAND Flash technology. ADATA, and the industry as a whole, are moving to 3D/stacked memory. This is because it offers increased density, reliability, and longevity compared to older 2D/planar memory products. The SD600 is available in 256GB and 512GB capacity configurations.
For sprints and marathons
Thanks to the integration of performance-sustaining DRAM cache and SLC cache, the SD600 does not slow down or throttle when faced with heavy operational loads or large files.
SLC cache is of particular interest as it allows a portion of the drive capacity to operate in pSLC mode (pseudo single-level cell). This is real handy when handling high priority operations.
Effortless portability and compatibility
The stylish and sporty SD600 weighs only 90g. It can be easily slipped in to pockets or backpacks thanks to its slim build.
Connecting to devices via USB 3.1, the SSD is fully driver-free compatible with Windows desktops and laptops, and more.
Thanks to it being made of impact resistant materials it has added protection from drops, falls, or bumps.
