Asus Transformer Pad 300 UK Price and Release – How to get yours even sooner
If the Asus Transformer Prime Android tablet is a bit rich for your tastes then the UK release of the Asus Transformer Pad 300 may cheer you as it shares plenty with its big brother but comes in a mark cheaper.
The Pad 300 will land with quad-core power, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich at the end of May in both Wi-Fi and 3G flavours.
If you’re in a rush to get some keyboard docking tablet action then there’s even better news – you can snare one online exclusively at Currys and PC World from early May for £400.
The Transformer Pad 300 will hand the owner an up-to-date Android slate with a detachable keyboard dock for laptop-style key-prodding.
When you have the Pad 300 locked in the dock then you can expect around 15 hours of battery life plus USB and SD card slots.
Under the hood sits a quad-core Tegra 3 processor and around the back you get a 8MP.
All of those niceties are slotted in to a 9.9mm thin, 635g plastic-cased tablet. You weren’t expecting aluminium for 400 notes were you?
Other corners cut when compared with the Transformer Prime is that the 300 doesn’t share the Prime’s LED flash for its snapper and the Prime gets a Super IPS+ screen and the Pad 300 is merely IPS.
The Transformer Pad 300 will arrive first in its Royal Blue hue with the Iceberg White model coming in late June and then Torch Red in July.
