iPhone 4S – UK Price and Release Date Confirmed
As I hoped – the iPhone 4S goes on sale on the same day it does across the pond – on October 14th.
So, the good news is that if you’re wanting the latest iPhone you only have to wait a fortnight before gripping it in your grubby little mitts. Also is the fact that we don’t have to watch footage of smug American fanboys and girls taunting us with their new Apple tech while we wait for news of when to start queueing.
Even better news is the fact that you can order your iPhone 4S in a couple of days as pre-orders commence on Friday October 7th!
The only minor details is that your new, shiny iPhone 4S will cost you at least £500.
Will you be tempted by the new internals?
iPhone 4S is equipped with the iPad’s A5 chip and 8-megapixel camera. It’s powered by new iOS 5 software which endows it with new camera features, and iMessage for free messaging (over Wi-Fi) to other iPhones, iPods and iPads. There’s also the intriguing addition of Bluetooth 4.0.
The best bit, as far as I can see it, is that iPhone 4S includes the voice-controlled personal assistant called Siri. Ask Siri a question and your phone will read out the answers after searching the interwebs for you.
iPhone 4S launch day is October 14th with prices starting at £499 for the 16GB version if you buy it from Apple – Vodafone and Three UK have already said that they’ll be stocking the new Apple phone so look out for contract deals 😉
