Sony Walkman Music Clip has iPod Shuffle on the Run

A favourite with all you gym-bunnies, the Apple iPod Shuffle, may find the latest little Walkman offering from Sony hot on its heels.

The tiny Sony Walkman Music Clip MP3 player may be small but it does manage to cram some handy little things into its minuscule body.

It weighs a dinky 28g and measures less than 10cm long, it has a detachable clip so you can attach it to your running vest.

The Walkman Music Clip has a more than decent 18 hours battery life in power save mode but should you need an emergency burst of choonz, a quick three-minute charge will hand you 90 minutes of music play.

Music is dragged and dropped to the Music Clip once connected to your computer via a USB cable or by using Windows Media Player 11/12. There’s only support for MP3 and WMA files though.

The neat Zappin’ song search technology lets you browse quickly through all your music and a dedicated ‘Zappin’ button gives you a small preview of each track. You also get a three line display.

For you lovers of the low-end you’ll be glad to know that the mini Walkman features a bass boast button 🙂

The Clip will arrive in 2GB and 4GB flavours in a range of colours (see below) around mid-May.
