Sony Xperia Z1 Compact available in UK today
Sony Mobile has just announced that the Xperia Z1 Compact will be released across the UK today.
The Z1 Compact was launched at CES in January 2014 and offers the very best of the flagship Xperia Z1 in a stylish new compact size.
The Xperia Z1 Compact is set as a dust-resistant and waterproof (IP55 & IP58)2 premium device and features Sony’s proven camera technologies to deliver the same level of performance and quality that you would find in a conventional compact digital camera.
It comes pre-loaded with a suite of innovative Xperia Camera Apps to help take your snaps to the highest level.
The Xperia Z1 Compact boasts ultra-fast performance and breathtaking graphics, thanks to the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with 2.2 GHz quad-core CPU and 4G LTE for amazing speed.

Sony has equipped the Z1 Compact with a 4.3-inch screen pushing out a 720p resolution meaning it has a screen density of 342 pixels per inch – besting the 326ppi of the iPhone 5S on its smaller 4-inch screen. Most premium Android smartphones with their larger 5-inch screens have much higher pixel densities in the region of 445ppi, but the difference is not appreciable at usable distances.
The screen includes technology from Sony’s Bravia TV division called “Triluminos”, which enhances its overall colour saturation, colour accuracy and contrast, and as a result makes photos and videos look really good on the new Compact.
