NAD VISO HP50 noise isolating headphones now available in UK
NAD has been a well respected name in the high-end Hi-Fi and home cinema world for the last 40 years so, when a press release for their latest headphones, the NAD VISO HP50, hit my mailbox I was expecting good things.
The NAD VISO HP50 noise isolating over-ear headphones joins NAD Electronics’ growing range of high performance personal audio products that already includes the award-winning NAD VISO 1 and NAD VISO 1 AP Wireless Digital Music Systems.
The VISO HP50 are described as being portable and light, yet rugged. They feature ultra-soft, noise-isolating earpads to reduce the effects of ambient noises on the listening experience. The NAD VISO HP50 features a fold-flat design so that they can be stowed away into its very own soft neoprene carrying case just like my AKG K450 and AKG K830BT cans.
The HP50 headphones are engineered with Room FeelTM technology from NAD’s sister company, PSB Speakers, to expand the whole soundstage. The company reckons that this will greatly change the whole listening experience – I shall wait for my ears-on test before I make a comment.
The NAD VISO HP50 features acoustically optimised ear cups and specially-developed 40mm drivers to ensure a seamless sound experience without fatigue or distortion. Coupled with years of sound research inside one of the world’s most sophisticated acoustic labs at Canada’s National Research Council, these headphones from NAD promise smooth, fluid acoustics and produce a more natural sound.
The ultra-soft ear pad fabric has been specially designed to improve sound quality, while still providing all-day comfort, allowing listeners to enjoy their music longer.
The NAD VISO HP50 carrying case is bundled with two detachable tangle-free cords (a must-have if you have a habit of killing your cables through extensive use and packing away like me) – one standard and one with an Apple iDevice 3-button remote for you iPod and iPhone users out there.
Listeners can take full control of all their Apple music and talk hands-free with the high-quality microphone built for voice-calling and device control with Siri-compatible devices.
These headphones are available in the UK now from Apple Stores and Sevenoaks Sound and Vision, NAD VISO HP50 headphones have an SRP of £249.99.
I should be getting my ears against these good-looking headphones from NAD for a full review soon. Stay tuned.
