LG Optimus 3D Phone Carphone Warehouse UK Exclusive

Remember back in February when Three had the bragging rights to having the LG Optimus 3D on its books? Well, Carphone Warehouse has just confirmed that it is to be the exclusive launch partner of the LG Optimus 3D.

The LG Optimus 3D, if you haven’t already worked out, is rocking a glasses-free stereoscopic display just like the Nintendo 3DS so you’ll be able to ogle 3D content on your phone. Under the hood is a 1GHz dual-core processor and there’s 3D capable dual cameras round the back.

The multi-dimensional blower will be running on Google’s Android 2.2 FroYo operating system when it’s launched and then will receive a dollop of 2.3 Gingerbread.

You’ll be able to pocket the 3D mobile free on a £35 per month contract or SIM-free for £499.95 exclusively in the UK for a period of time through Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy.

“We’re proud to be able to offer the world’s first 3D smartphone exclusively at The Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy,” boasted Graham Stapleton, the Chief Commercial Officer at Carphone Warehouse.

The LG Optimus 3D is available on pre-order now and will be released on July 7th.
