Pro-Ject Essential II Demon turntable by Parov Stelar
The Pro-Ject Essential II Demon is the latest collaboration between Pro-Ject Audio Systems and the famous Austrian DJ and producer Parov Stelar.
The company says that Parov Stelar and Pro-Ject Audio Systems share the love and passion for music and so moved to cooperate in creating a third special turntable, that shows “Parov Stelar design”.
The Essential II Demon is based on the renowned Essential series of Pro-Ject turntables and utilises a straight 8.6-inch aluminium tonearm design made from a single piece of aluminium with sapphire bearings, which offers a plug and play solution.
Special feet effectively decouple the turntable from its surface and a quiet-running synchronous motor with a silicone belt is driving a low-resonance platter made from laminated particle board.
The Pro-Ject Essential II Demon is also fitted with a “sophisticated motor control with DC power supply” which promises to minimise unwanted vibrations.
The main platter bearing consists of stainless steel spindle and bronze bushing with Teflon bottom to secure low friction.
The Pro-Ject Essential II Demon will come fitted with a quality MM cartridge from highly acclaimed Ortofon OM series.
The Essential II Demon will be available as a limited collectors edition for €359.00 – I’m not sure how limited these turntables will be but the first 500 come with the Demon Diaries EP by Parov.
