I have to agree with you there Dave. I have a collection of vintage Rado watches (mostly automatic) and the fact that these still do the job that they’re designed to do 50-70 years later is a testament to them.

A fine timepiece is something that lasts decades and maybe gets passed on to the next generation. Who is going to pay $5K+ for a watch that will be outdated after 6 months. Now if there was something modular that would be better. I want to see a little display that mounts onto my Rolex but that I can remove at night.
