HTC reveals cheaper One M8 – the HTC One E8
HTC has just taken the wraps off their latest version of the HTC One (M8), this handset will be a cheaper version of the device and is called the HTC One (E8). Is the E for Economy?
The HTC One E8 retains many of the specs of the metallic M8, such as the 5-inch full HD display with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, but features a plastic casing and a more rounded design.
The new HTC One E8 is powered by a quad core Snapdragon 801 processor with 2GB of RAM, there is also an Adreno 330 GPU and it comes with 16GB of included storage.
If you need more storage, the One E8 also comes with a microSD card slot which supports up to 128GB cards, and it features front and rear facing cameras.
On the front of the handset is a 5 megapixel camera for selfies and video chat, whilst on the back we there’s a 13 megapixel camera for panoramas and such.
The E8 has the natty inclusion of a dual Nano SIM card slot.
According to HTC, the handset is constructed with a polycarbonate unibody frame, and the device will be available in a range of colours which include Polar White, Electric Crimson, Maldives Blue, and Misty Grey.
HTC have not announced any pricing or release dates as yet but let’s hope that it helps them with their financials.
