Apple TV Brings the iPhone Wii Motion Style Remote Control

Apple has just released the 2.40 update to AppleTV along side a revamp of the iPhone Remote application.

This now lets you wave your iPhone around like a motion controller to get what you’re after.

Audio or video playback are controlled by flicking left or right to rewind or fast forward, respectively. You can show chapter markers when watching video by flicking down and then flicking left or right to skip.

You can also tap the screen to play/pause either video or audio.

You do need to make sure that your iPhone (or even iPod Touch) is running with Remote 1.3 on iPhone OS 3.0.
