I believe it’s a one-off payment for the app and Â£3.50 aint much but I’m guessing that’s more down to Nintendo than the BBC as, like you’ve said, it’s free for Mac and PC.

Also, I believe that it will become free after all the testing “A BBC spokesperson added that the service would be tweaked over coming weeks to improve service and image quality and in an effort to eliminate the need to purchase the Internet Channel.”

There must be enough people that want to watch catch-up tele on their tv’s to warrant this move.

Personally I’ll record the programmes if I know that I’m going to be out, or if I’m out of the country for a while then the laptop will have to suffice.

My only other concern is the quality – from my experience it aint to sparkling on my laptop or my PC……I wonder what it’ll be like on a huge LCD or Plasma?

That is complete crap. it will be Â£3.50 for the app install? It is free to PC and Mac users isn’t it?

Plus the outrageous extra bandwidth you will have to pay for to watch TV ON YOUR TV>????? ARE YOU STUPID??????????

I don’t think that the broadcast is HD yet but watching it on your monster tele instead of monitor is gonna be a huge bonus :0)

WOW that’s the problem with iPlayer – you have to sit at your PC to watch your programs.. this will make a real difference – is it really HD though?
