TLD Codes Atlas – Pure Geek Art!

cctld_1000_shadowTime to get your Geek on my little Geekaholics!

This is pure geek art I reckon.

We all know that .com is the most popular top level domain (that’s why I’ll be changing to GadgetyNews.com once I’ve got a redesigne sorted), every country has a unique TLD of its own known as a country code (co.uk for example).

Well, is the planet made up of those very country codes.

Totally cool picture huh?

Imagine this in your den, gaming room, office, living room, bedroom………toilet?

Available for $30, Country Codes of the World is a 24″ by 36″ representation of the globe in which each country is displayed as its corresponding country code in a font size relative to its population. So countries with big populations appear as bigger letters on the map, and small populations look tiny.

I think I NEED one of these!

Notice how the US isn’t that bigger than the UK and almost everyone is dwarfed by China and India (.cn and .in) both look huge here, despite having been scaled down 30% to fit within their geography!
