CD Turntable – Good Looking or Pointless?

I hope that these are real and soon available – I’m just loving how these CD turntables look.

Pete Verrando is the man behind the CD turntables and, as you can by the text on the pic, these things of beauty are patent pending.

Now, are these actually going to work as they look – or are they just cool looking cases for regular disc spinners?
