MSI announce their GE62 Camo Squad notebooks

MSI have announced their GE62 Camo Squad series of notebooks. These will come sporting a Ghost Recon/Military Camo theme and a exclusive bundle.

The limited Edition MSI notebook will come with a bundle that is valued at $210.

This exclusive pack includes a copy of Ghost Recon Wildlands, the game’s season pass, a camo-themed backpack, a camo water bottle, mousemat and a set of MSI themed dog tags.

What? No camo cream?

The GE62 will come with either a GTXC 1060 GPU or a GTX 1050Ti GPU. Both graphics cards offer awesome performance when compared to previous generation mobile graphics processing units.

This notebook will also feature support for NVMe storage, an Intel Kaby lake CPU and a full 4K screen which covers the full SRGB colour gamut.

This new system will include MSI’s new CoolerBoost 4 cooling units. This will enable the lappy to operate more quietly whilst still offering superior cooling performance to previous generation notebooks.

These specs should keep you competitive as well as mobile. Especially with the backpack – perfect for those BYOC (bring your own computer) gaming nights.

Hit or miss

This might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but you cannot deny that other military themed kit has sold well before.

The likes of Battlefield, Call of Duty and Arma have created a demand for military-themed notebooks and accessories.

So, at least in theory, the new MSI GE62 bundle looks like great deal for those wanting to stand out from the crowd. Although, isn’t camouflage supposed to have the opposite effect?
