Can You Handle The Shuttle X50 Net-top?

shuttlex50The Shuttle X50 – a touchscreen nettop that has one added extra.

It has a handle!

Yup – looking like a digital crossbreed of lunchbox and briefcase it features a 15.6-inch, 16×9 touchscreen, a dual core Atom 330 processor, 160GB hard drive, 1GB of RAM, 802.11n Wi-Fi, memory card reader, 1.3MP camera and no less than five USB ports.

It runs on Windows XP by-the-way.

It might lack a keyboard but as it’s wall-mountable, can be shoved or carried anywhere who cares?

That handle also doubles up as a stand so it can stay upright 😉

That’s where the X50 is original 🙂

It was said that the Shuttle X50 should be out this month costing $499 but it’s all gone quiet and the last bit of press didn’t mention anything.

Glass half-full says “perhaps a price drop”.

Glass half-empty says “delayed with a price hike”.

What do you think?

Do you even care?

Let me know 🙂
