Pioneer and Onkyo supporting Deezer HiFi
Onkyo and Pioneer are releasing firmware updates this month that adds Deezer HiFi to much of their AV receivers and networked audio devices.
Just as Samsung announced recently, Pioneer and Onkyo are supporting the lossless version of the Deezer streaming service. Deezer is one of the most popular subscription-based streaming music services. Users have access to an impressive library of more than 53 million songs.
Owners of both Pioneer and Onkyo hardware have had access to Deezer. However, thanks to the upcoming firmware update, will soon be able to enjoy Deezer HiFi. Subscribing to this top tier enables streaming of CD quality, lossless (16bit / 44.1kHz) FLAC music files. Deezer currently offers 36 million tracks at this quality.
Deezer HiFi also offers “Flow” – a personalised soundtrack based on your listening tastes. Flow doesn’t just include known favourites, but also introduces selected new songs, helping the listener to discover exciting new artists.
