Neato Botvac D7 Connected outed at IFA 2017
Neato Robotics has launched their Neato Botvac D7 Connected. Probably the most powerful, intuitive and connected robot vacuum on the market right now.
I have been really impressed by the Botvac robot vacuums so, to hear there’s a new and better one, I am really interested.
Add to that some new smart home skills, what’s not to like?
Botvac D7 Connected
The Neato Botvac D7 Connected is Neato’s most intelligent and powerful model to date. It also looks pretty snazzy in its metallic paint-job.
Planning
The new Neato FloorPlanner Advanced Mapping and Cleaning Technology allows users to create a Cleaning Map of their home.
There is also IFTTT compatibility. This gives you full control over the robot vacuum with flexibility and convenience. A great move for the connected smart home.
After scanning the home in Discovery Mode or through a normal clean, the robot creates the user’s personalised MyFloorPlan. From here, you can set virtual “No-Go” Lines to avoid specific areas you want cleaning.
This ensures the robot always knows where to clean and where not to clean. Finally, no need to put up any physical barriers. The Cleaning Summary Map will show where the robot has vacuumed, as well as any issues or obstacles that prevented a complete clean.

Totally connected
Additionally, integration with Apple Watch, Neato ChatBot for Facebook, Amazon Alexa and Google Home allows it to be seamlessly into the connected home.
The Botvac D7 Connected is updateable over-the-air to ensure its software is current with the latest features.
Precision and performance
Neato’s patented LaserSmart technology allows the Botvac D7 Connected to map and navigate multiple rooms with ultimate precision.
The new model features robust suction, an ultra-performance filter, turbo mode and improved brush system. This all adds up to cleaning power and greater care around furniture, even in the dark.
The Botvac D-shape design allows it to get deep into corners and close to walls.

App update
Furthermore, the next generation of the Neato App will be available alongside the Botvac D7 Connected at launch. This offers an enhanced modern look and feel, additional alerts and an improved cleaning summary with detailed coverage maps.
Also, with this release, Neato’s entire Connected line (Botvac D3 Connected, Botvac D5 Connected and Botvac Connected) now support Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Neato Chatbot for Facebook and IFTTT.
