Asus Designo Curve MX34VQ pro monitor coming to UK
Asus announce that the 34-inch Designo Curve MX34VQ monitor is heading to the UK.
Following the news of the 35-inch curved AOC Agon monitor, I have just been made aware of this lovely-looking panel from Asus.
The company has just announced that they’ll be bringing their Designo Curve MX34VQ Ultra-wide 3440×1440 monitor to the UK.
This display will sport a screen size of 34-inches, and pack VESA adaptive-sync (FreeSync) support. This hands the screen refresh rates between 48Hz and 100Hz.
The bend on the monitor is 1800R radius curvature, so slightly more aggressive than the Agon‘s 2000R.
The display will use a VA-type panel and supports 95% of the sRGB colour spectrum, with support for booth HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.2 connections.
As a professional-grade display, the Designo series offers a cleaner more industrial aesthetic than more gaming-centric screens.
Personally, I like the dark grey coldness against the almost bezel-less display. The addition of a built-in Qi wireless charger in the base is also a nice touch.
It’s not all work, work, work though. The monitor includes ‘GamePlus’ features such as on-screen crosshair, timer and ‘FPS’ counter. A 4ms grey to grey response time is also specified.
The rear of the monitor packs 3 HDMI 2.0 ports, DP 1.2a (supports Adaptive-Sync) and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The stand offers tilt as the only ergonomic flexibility option.
The Designo Curve MX34VQ also happened to win the CES 2017 innovation award.
Price and availability
ASUS will be releasing their Designo Curve MX34VQ Ultra-wide 3440×1440 display on March 20th at a price of £749.99 in the UK.
