App Star Awards – About to Release an iOS App? Check This Out First

If you’ve been tinkering with an iOS app and reckon it’s ready to go public then you should check out the 3rd annual App Star Awards. This could be the best way to get your new application to your target audience.

The App Star Awards is run by app discovery service Appsfire and is aimed at those new and unreleased apps in order to give them the perfect launch platform and reward developers with an iPad and a free advertising campaign.

If you are an iOS developer, all you have to do is pre-register here and then you will be alerted when the contest goes live this week. Each app will be reviewed, with judges picking the three best app submissions.

If you have an app due for launch in May (or very soon), this could be the perfect opportunity to give it the springboard it needs to achieve download success. Just imagine seeing your app not only on peoples iPod Touches, iPhones and iPads, but screaming up the download charts!

You will need to have a video demo of your app ready. This will be used for judging purposes as well as being featured in a special channel on ShowYou – a very popular video app for iPhone and iPad.
