Samsung Galaxy Tab A landing in UK
Samsung is continuing to roll out its new Samsung Galaxy Tab A tablets and now the company is launching the 9.7-inch version here in the UK this month.
The 9.7-inch version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab A will be available in the UK from the 21st of April and Samsung will offer three different versions of the tablet.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A’s 9.7-inch display has a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels, which pits it squarely against the iPad Mini, and the device is powered by a quad core processor running Android Lollipop.
There will be a WiFi only model, a WiFi and LTE and a S-Pen version which is WiFi only, all three models will launch in the UK this month. The WiFi-only model ships with 1.5GB RAM, while the S-Pen and LTE-equipped models up this to 2GB.
The tablet, which measures in at 7.5mm thin, also features dual 5MP and 2MP cameras, a 6,000mAh battery which Samsung claims will offer roughly 10 hours of use, and 16GB built-in storage expandable by an additional 128GB via microSD.comes with 2GB of RAM. Buyers will also get 115GB of free cloud storage through Microsoft’s OneDrive, and the firm’s Office and Skype apps are pre-installed on the tablet.
There is a front facing 2 megapixel camera and a 5 megapixel rear camera.
Samsung has yet to say how much the tablet will cost. However, with a price tag of $300 in the US, it’s likely to be around £200.
