Huawei Mate 10 looks gorgeous – official
The Huawei Mate range has generally impressed. It looks like the Huawei Mate 10 will continue that tradition.
Huawei’s 6-inch phablet packs a 2:1 display and comes loaded with the latest of the Leica-endorsed dual-cameras.
But there is more cause for excitement if this new leak stands up.
Just look at that screen.
Huawei Mate 10 details
The only really perceivable bezels are the narrow ones at the top and bottom of the phone.
There is hardly any border on the left or right side.
This also means that there’s very little room for branding or any other equipment, for that matter. You know the kind of things that phones have on the front, a selfie camera, earpiece, that sort of stuff.
I am digging the vertical orientation of the lenses, as well as the bolder camera accents.
The bluish black brushed metal finish also gets the Gadgety double thumps-up of approval.
There is also a fingerprint sensor and some Huawei branding on rear.
Under the hood is thought to be a Kirin 970 chip, based on a 10nm fabrication.
This will most likely be partnered by 6GB of RAM and a 4,000mAh battery.
Price and availability
In China, it is expected to pass the ¥4,000 barrier — that’s around £465, excluding Brit tax. Keep it around that price in the UK and it will fly off the shelves!
