Samsung Omnia – Not Tocco

If you’re feelng a little overwhelmed with the amount of mobiles being released you may have thought that Samsung have attempted to slip the same phone in with 2 different names amongst all the confusion.

I’m talking about the Tocco and the Omnia (SGH-i900).

Well, this is what I thought even if you didn’t.

So off I went to search out these two touch-friendly devices and find out if this was just a Sammy-scam (not that they would do such a thing).

Righty, both mobiles include those lifestyle-friendly apps such as a touchscreen, five-meg camera, MP3 player, FM radio and Bluetooth. Check.

But, the Omnia starts pulling ahead when I look closer.

It has a larger display – 3.2-inch in comparison to the Tocco’s 2.8-incher. Also the Omnia is sporting GPS, Wi-Fi and runs Windows 6.1 OS.

You also get a choice of 8GB or 16GB of in built memory as well as being able to shove in extra via the microSDHC slot to the tune of 32GB.

All of this is squeezed within a platinum finished12.5mm thin body.

Confusion over.

I think.

For now.
