Note 8 specs

As far as we can tell, the Note 8 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor – in some markets.

Elsewhere, the handset will be powered by a Samsung Exynos processor.

It is expected to come with 6GB of RAM.

Expect the usual high spec cameras.  On the front of the handset there will be an 8 megapixel camera for Selfies. On the back of the device there will be two 12 megapixel cameras for photos and videos.

The new Galaxy Note 8 is also expected to come with a choice of 64GB or 128GB of storage.

The importance of the Note 8

I don’t think that it can be over-exaggerated just how important this device for Samsung.

The Note range has generally been extremely popular, but some feel that recall of the Note 7 may have dented that.

I am not entirely sure about that for a couple of reasons.

Firstly, of course, brand loyalty has some part to play. This can be a very potent variable when people go to choose their next device. Not only are they dealing with expected quality, but there is that sense of familiarity. Most humans don’t want the hassle of getting to grips with a new eco-system.

Finally, and perhaps more importantly, there is still little by way of comparable products on the market.

Where are the other stylus prodding 6-inch-ish phablets that match or better the Galaxy Note series and look as good doing it?

Stay tuned for more info as I get it.
