Google Nexus Tablet Released before Summer at Kindle Scaringly Low Price
There’s more fuel to the Kindle Fire quenching Google Nexus Tablet – It may be here as early as, well, May!
Word on the interweblogosphere is putting the 7-inch Google Nexus tablet as arriving in the first half of the year and, perhaps, even by May.
Not only will the world’s first Google-branded tablet appear not long after the new iPad it will also have a very low price tag attached.
I’m hearing prices hovering around the US$200-US$250 mark – that’s £125-£160 very broadly speaking.
That would indeed slot it in the same fighting weight as the upcoming Amazon Kindle Fire and rumoured 7-inch Apple iPad Mini.
As we’ve all seen previously; Google isn’t one for cobbling its own tech. It was Samsung that had to build the Galaxy Nexus, for instance.
The main player to nail the Nexus Tablet together is none-other than Asus.
Asus can stick a mean slate together – look at the Transformer Prime for example – and it so happens to have the 7-inch Asus Eee Pad MeMO ME370T which runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and is equipped with a Tegra 3 quad-core processor already in the wings.
Looking good huh?
This would also be an excellent opportunity for Google to debut its newly refreshed Market – now known as the Play Store.
