Braun BN0106 – Coolest, High-end, Bauhaus inspired, Minimalist Digital Watch

Braun BN0106 digital watchBraun may conjure up images of hair removal devices and kitchen gadgets but they also make clocks and watches as well as being inspiration for modern tech such as the iPod. The German brand has added iF and Red Dot design awards to its collection thanks to its new watch, produced in collaboration with Ventura.

Braun designer, Deiter Rams, has been acknowledged as the inspiration for much of Apple’s clean, unfussy tech and the BN0106 digital watch continues the German company’s trend in avant-garde minimalism.

Braun worked in collaboration with Pierre Nobs – the guy behind Ventura watches and, if you check out the Ventura timepieces, you’ll most certainly see the connection.

The BN0106 manages to look retro-futuristic as well as timeless thanks to its minimalist and functional design.

I love the unique design touches such as the high-quality negative LCD display, and the ‘Easy Skroll’ scroll-wheel function selector.

The BN0106BKBKG – Rubber costs £470 and the BN0106BKBTG – Steel comes in at £499 direct from the Braun website.
