Cobra PhoneTag – Find Your Keys and Locate Your Smartphone

Are you the type of person that puts your keys and such down in random places and then forgets their whereabouts?

Well Cobra Electronics have launched their new tagging system – Cobra PhoneTag.

The Cobra PhoneTag is a high tech, Bluetooth enabled keyring that links a smartphone to you or other valuables.

Just download the app to your BlackBerry, iPhone or Android device and the PhoneTag software will monitor the distance between the phone and tagged items.  If the items become separated, you will be alerted immediately.

The PhoneTag application records the GPS location and time of when and where you wandered away from the tagged item. The software then sends the GPS information to a user defined contact list through email, text message, or optionally using a linked Facebook or Twitter account.

PhoneTag can also act as a two-way version of those clap-to-make-it-beep “finder” keyrings.  Simply tap the button on the PhoneTag to ring your smartphone or, if you’re looking for your PhoneTag protected item, the PhoneTag application will help you to find it.
