Meta Watch Hooks up to iPhone for Bluetooth Wrist Action

ios meta watchIf you like the Sony Smart Watch but own an iPhone then it’s your lucky day my gadgety friend. The Meta Watch is here!

I’d call it a wrist display or something like that. The makers of the Meta Watch call it a wearable development system (WDS). Hmmmmk…

The Meta Watch can display pretty much any data you want served from your iOS or Android device on its 96 x 96px screen.

It hooks up with your phone or tablet using power sipping Bluetooth 4.0 which should allow plenty of time between drinks.

It comes packing 6 programmable buttons, a three-axis accelerometer, a vibrating motor and an ambient light sensor and, thanks to its open API which allows developers to work on this Android and iOS interacting device, it will probably be able to do more.

Using an app you’ll be able to customise your Meta Watch to display anything you want from your gadget – from texts, missed calls, and weather, to Facebook updates, calendar entries, and emails.

The Meta Watch costs £125 (US$200) and is available now.
