Acer Iconia A700 Quad Core Tablet Pictures Leaked – Better than HD screen
Back in November I wrote about some leaked details of the Acer A700 – the spec sounded pretty special what with quad cores and a high resolution screen. We can now all feast our eyes on some pictures thanks to a Russian site.
According to the tech site the Acer Iconia A700 range will say hello to everyone officially at CES on the other side of the new years celebrations and, looking at the spec list, this may well prove to be another iPad botherer from Acer.
Let’s talk about that screen first. If you recall I said “Let’s just assume that the tablet will have the standard 10.1-inch display” – well, waddayaknow – it’s 10.1-inches. Not only that, it’s said to be 1920 x 1200 pixels – that’s higher resolution than Full HD.
So, better than HD resoultion and a larger viewing area than the iPad 2. Not bad hey?
Like the Asus Transformer Prime the A700 is loaded with a Tegra 3 chip. Unlike the Transformer Prime, however, the Acer is unlikely to be sued by Hasbro for copyright infringement because the name sounds a little like an Autobot.
Around the edges of the Acer tablet you’ll find SIM and micro-USB slots, a rotation lock switch which will allow you to stay in portrait or landscape mode, depending on what you’re doing no matter how you’re holding it, as well as volume controls, a headphone socket, and a micro-HDMI port.
Flip it over and you’ll find a 5-megapixel camera with built-in flash should you want to take snaps with a 10.1-inch view-finder.
The whole device weighs in at 650g and has a 10-hour battery life. Now, enjoy the pictures.
