Samsung Galaxy Note 7 pictured
The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has had the leaky treatment, complete with pictures!
There has been much chatter about the next Galaxy Note device and I know quite a number of people who are waiting for this to land on the shelves. So, to sate their yearning, as well as share some nice snaps, here’s the leak.
The pictures, which to me look like press renders of the Galaxy Note 7, have been posted up on Twitter by renowned tipster Evan Blass.
The sneaky snaps reveal that the device will be available in black, silver titanium, blue coral and onyx.
These pictures confirm it will come with a curved ‘Edge’ display just like the Galaxy S7 Edge. This has been backed up by case maker Olixar. Olixar are so sure of their sources that you can actually pre-order your Note 7 case now.
Alongside the front camera you can spot a second lens for the iris scanner.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is rumored to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 823 processor, an overclocked version of the Snapdragon 820. It will also feature 6GB of RAM and a choice of storage options.
The entry level Note 7 will come with 32GB built in and the top model is rumored to come with 256GB. The handset will feature a 5.8-inch display that will have a QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.
The new Galaxy Note 7 is set to come with the same cameras as the S7 and S7 Edge. So, a 12 megapixel rear camera for videos and photos and a 5 megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls.
Another detail worthy of mention in the Olixar picture (above) is the USB Type-C port. This leads me to wonder if we will be seeing an update Gear VR sporting the same connection.
The handset will come sporting Android Marshmallow and make its debut at the press event on August 2nd. This, in turn, should mean that the new Note 7 will land in stores some time later that month.
If I hear anything else, I’ll let you know.
