UK Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ now available in Rose Pink
Samsung has today announced the launch of the Rose Pink version of the Galaxy S8 and S8+ smartphone in the UK.
Inspired by nature, the new hue envelops the device, creating a sense of unity and fluidity between the glass and metal of the phone’s body. That’s what Samung says.
The Rose Pink colour itself is simultaneously sophisticated and modern, adding to the overall aesthetics of the device and intensifying the depth of its design.
It might not be my first choice of colourway, but I actually do think it suits the phone’s shape and design.
Samsung Galaxy S8 recap
Launched in March 2017, the Galaxy S8 and S8+ have been available since April.
The S8 siblings come in two sizes with a curved edge-to-edge 5.8-inch or 6.2-inch QHD AMOLED display.
The always-on screen has a 2960 x 1440 resolution and a super-skinny bezel.
The rear camera features a 12 megapixel f/1.7 lens, while an 8 megapixel f/1.7 camera with autofocus sits above the screen on the front.
The front snapper also packs iris scanning and facial recognition to make unlocking the phone and signing into websites easier.
Under the hood is Samsung’s octa-core Exynos chip in lieu of Qualcomm’s stuff that the States get.
Paired with that is 4GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of storage with microSD support for up to 256GB.
The standard model has a 3,000mAh battery, while the Plus device gets 3,500mAh. Both models support fast wireless charging.
Availability
Available from selected retailers and Samsung.com, the Rose Pink S8 and S8+ joins Midnight Black, Orchid Gray, Coral Blue and Arctic Silver colours already available.
