Samsung owners get 24/7 Babylon GP access
Samsung has partnered with digital healthcare provider Babylon to launch ‘Ask an Expert, powered by Babylon’. This enables you to check symptoms and book live video doctor appointments.
Local GPs are getting busier which means getting an appointment gets more difficult. Even urgent appointments need to be booked days in advance.
Living a busy life can be time-consuming and checking up on your health isn’t always a priority. I know plenty of people who resort to ‘Googling’ their symptoms. I would not recommend this.
For those with hectic schedules who don’t have time to visit the local doctor, this could be a solution.
Ask an expert
Babylon’s artificial intelligence (AI) service is currently used by the NHS. Now, it has been integrated within the Samsung Health app.
This enables Galaxy users to book video appointments with certified doctors 24/7. This could be to obtain medical advice or even manage and order prescriptions online.
The service will make checking up on health seamlessly integrated into everyday life.
Users can also check their symptoms and receive high-quality triage information about physical health, common ailments and symptoms straight to their device.
Knowledge
The system draws on 500 million streams of knowledge to provide near-instant health information. Meaning that the in-app service offers a readily-available source of advice at your fingertips.

Price and availability
‘Ask an Expert, powered by Babylon’ will be available within the Samsung Health app in the UK from 31st May 2018.
Full membership with access to unlimited appointments with Babylon doctors will cost £50/€50 per year, on an annual subscription basis. Alternatively, you can PAYG at £25/€25 for a one-off appointment.
