Tiny Sony Ericsson LiveView Wants to Replace Your iPod Nano Watch

Sony Ericsson has decided that even their Xperia X10 Mini’s are too big and cumbersome for most gadgety users to be bothered with taking out of pockets and bags on a regular basis.

Their answer to this, as far as I can see, unknown problem is a touchscreen remote control for your Android phones – welcome to the world of The Sony Ericsson LiveView.

SE say that the LiveView will enable you to check your messages, who’s calling you, Twitter and Facebook updates, music controls, and even RSS feeds of GadgetyNews all on an ickle screen – It weighs just 15g and that screen is a 1.3-inch OLED doopher.

The LiveView will play nice with Sony Ericsson’s Xperia X10, Xperia X10 Mini and Xperia X10 Mini Pro as well as the Samsung Galaxy S and HTC Desire.

It hooks up to your Android via Bluetooth and is put forward as something you can discretely pin to your notepad when you’re supposed to be taking minutes in a meeting or, just like the iPod Nano, attach it to a wrist-strap.

The Sony Ericsson LiveView packs a “micro display that mirrors the phone” and will be available in stores from Q4, 2010 – perhaps even next month!
