Philips QHD business monitors pack USB-C

349P7FUBEB 34-inch usb-c monitorPhilips monitors brand licensee, MMD, has announced a new 34-inch UltraWide QHD curved display plus a new 27-inch QHD monitor. Better still, they are both equipped with a practical USB-C docking solution.

We are slowly seeing USB-C becoming a standard requirement for business and power users alike. Heck, even the new Mercedes A-Class is fitted with USB-C ports.

The reasons for this are many. Firstly, the connector is reversible. Genius! Secondly, it support higher data transfer speeds. There’s also being able to charge devices, transfer audio and video signals with different protocols, and connect to the Internet with just one single cable.

So, adding a USB-C port to Philips monitors seems a sensible idea.

Furthermore, it will help you to reclaim desktop space thanks to removing the clutter of multiple, incompatible ports and cables.

It produces vivid, more natural CrystalClear images. Featuring an extended UltraWide Colour gamut with a 21:9 format high density, high contrast MVA panel, this advanced display provides a subtle immersion effect enveloping you in the task at hand.

The dedicated Philips MultiView technology enables an active dual connect feature allowing you to simultaneously view multiple devices such as PCs and notebooks side-by-side. You have the option to view in Picture-by-Picture and Picture-in-Picture modes.

With just one USB-C cable, the new 272B7QUPBEB transfers data and high resolution video at USB 3.1 speeds. Additionally, it will send up to 60 watts to power or recharge external devices.

The built-in RJ-45 10/100/1000 Ethernet port gives you instant network connectivity, while the DisplayPort out makes it easy to daisy chain two or more monitors together.

Producing crisp, CrystalClear Quad HD (2560 x 1440 or 2560 x 1080 pixel) images from its IPS display, the new Philips 272B7QUPBEB offers a 90-degree pivot for coders and DTP users. Also, the monitor utilises a smart, infrared sensor to automatically reduce the monitor’s brightness when the user is away from the display. This helps in reducing energy use.
