The Samsung Galaxy Note has a special place in people’s hearts and pockets.We have often mentioned this on our Tech Addicts podcast. Will the Note 8 reignite the consumer’s passion for this stylus-powered phone?

The unexpected demise of the Note 7 was a crushing blow.

OK, perhaps “reignite” was a bad choice of word, but I have high hopes for the Note 8.

If these most recent rumours are true, we may be in for a treat.

Galaxy Note 8 specifications

Word is that the Note 8 will sport a 6.3-inch display, up from the 6.2-inch screen on the S8 Plus.

In addition, the handset is also rumored to come with a dual rear camera. This will be made up of an odd set-up of a 12-megapixel camera and a 13-megapixel camera.

In keeping with the S8 and S8 Plus, the new Note is expected to rock a bezel-less design.

Under the hood will live either a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor or a Samsung Exynos processor.

The processor will likely be mated to 6GB of RAM and a range of storage options up to 256GB.

Return of the Note

I expect sales to be strong for the Note 8. There is really nothing else on the market that could have competed with the Note 7. Things were looking really good until the ‘issues‘.

Furthermore, during the Note’s absence, no one has released a challenger, either.

I for one am looking forward to the successful launch of the Note 8.
