MSI GS65 Stealth ThinMSI has launched a suite of gaming laptops powered by Intel 8th Generation processors, with three new models: the new GS65 Stealth Thin gaming notebook, GT75 Titan with i9 processor and GE Raider RGB Edition. The new MSI products are equipped with the 8th generation processor updates to its GP, GL and GV lines.

The new portable gaming computers from MSI certainly has something for everyone. If you like it sleek and stealthy, you’re covered. Loving the more conventional gaming laptop? Sorted. How about a funkadelic disco everywhere you go? Yup, even you get something.

Let’s kick off at the more refined end.

GS65 Stealth Thin

MSI GS65 Stealth ThinThe GS65 Stealth Thin is the first gaming laptop to feature a 144Hz 7ms IPS display with 4.9mm bezels. This equated to an 82% screen-to-body ratio. However, MSI has still managed to arrange space in the top bezel for a webcam.

As for the firepower, the Stealth Thin is equipped with a GTX 1070 with NVIDIA Max-Q technology and the latest 8th generation Intel Core i7 processor. The aim here is to provide up to a 40% performance enhancement over the previous generation. Additionally, you get MSI Cooler Boost Trinity cooling to keep it all icy.

The gaming laptop weighs 1.8kg (4.14lbs) and packs an 82Whr battery that delivers 8+ hours of battery life. It also features a new per-key RGB keyboard designed by SteelSeries. Users can customise each key and receive real-time game status through keyboard lighting.

MSI GS65 Stealth ThinFinally, MSI is also rolling out an update for Dragon Center 2.0 that comes with an exclusive gaming mode and a new UI. The gaming mode optimises system performance and game-specific keyboard lighting for a list of supported new titles.

I am certainly loving the thin look and gold highlights. Classy.

Stealth Pro Processor Updates

In addition to the new GS65 Stealth Thin, MSI’s entire Stealth Pro line-up is getting upgraded with the newest processors. The new processor improves performance by almost 20% when compared to the previous generation. The new Stealth Pro laptops also feature 102 keys of per-key RGB lighting, smaller fan blades, Dynaudio Certified speakers, upgraded Killer 1550 and Bluetooth v5, and Dragon Center 2.0.

GE Raider RGB Edition

MSI GE73 Raider RGBLet’s slip on our loony pants now. So, from the sublime to the… colourful. First announced at CES, it seems that the GE63/73 Raider RGB Edition hasn’t been toned down any since. These are supposedly inspired by sports cars and the PC Master Race’s love for RGB.Well, I can see half of that claim.

MSI GE73 Raider RGBYou may have noticed that there’s a smattering of RGB lighting. There’s some on the top cover, a bit more across the entire keyboard and, so they don’t feel left out, even USB ports are lit.

The top cover features 24 separate zones of RGB lighting with more than 16.8 million colours available. Firing off a quick email in a coffee shop will never be the same again!

MSI GE73 Raider RGBThe GE Raider RGB Edition is configurable with up to the latest 8th generation Intel Core i7 processor and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 graphics. Additionally, the Raider can be equipped with up to a 120Hz 3ms display. The lapto’s cooling system comprises of MSI Cooler Boost 5, a cooling design with dual fans and seven copper heats pipes. The GE Raider also comes with Nahimic 3, Killer networking, Bluetooth 5.0 and more.

GT75 Titan

MSI GT75 TitanRounding things off is the GT75 Titan featuring the i9 hexacore processor – moreover, this chip is fully unlocked.

Additionally, the new GT series is equipped with NVIDIA graphics and mechanical keyboards. This means that you get an uncompromising desktop gaming experience, no matter your level.

MSI GT75 TitanCombined with that unlocked i9 hexacore, The GT75 Titan gets MSI’s Cooler Boost Titan cooling design. This together, results in the six-core 12-thread configuration getting a performance bump of up to 70% over the previous Core i7.

Other Titans

The GT83 Titan is designed to pack a full desktop gaming experience in a mobile form factor. To this end, it is the first laptop to integrate a full Cherry MX Speed Silver switch keyboard. The new 8th generation Intel processor comes with six cores and boosts the performance by up to 40%. Along with the GeForce GTX 1080 SLI graphics and exceptional cooling, the new GT83 is not only more powerful than ever, but the best desktop replacement to date.

The GT63 Titan was built upon the GT62 series but has evolved in both aesthetics and performance. By featuring the latest processor and up to GeForce GTX 1080 graphics, the GT63 is the most powerful 15-inch gaming laptop in the world. The new chassis also features new per-key RGB lighting on the SteelSeries gaming keyboard.
