Philips announces mid-range 4K Ambilight TVs

philips 4k 6753 angleThe new Philips mid-ranged 6000 and 7000 series sets are now on sale in the UK. The launch of the 6703, 6753 and 7303 shows the commitment from Philips to offer improved processing power, new Smart features, step-up VA panels and, of course, 3 sided Ambilight.

These next generation Philips 4K HDR TV’s definitely look to offer high tech performance and exceptional value for money.

6000 Series

philips 4k 6703 angleThe Philips 6703 4K Ultra HDR Slim Smart LED TV features three sided Ambilight technology. If you are still unfamiliar with Ambilight, it projects light from the sides and rear of the TV onto the wall behind, This gives the appearance of extending the screen and adds to the immersive experience.

Additionally, the 6703 is equipped with an upgraded direct-lit VA Panel. There is also Quad-core processing, and Philips’ new Linux based Saphi Smart operating system.

Available in 43-inch, 50-inch, and 55-inch inch screens, the 6703 comes with an attractive dark silver ultra-slim frame, ultra-slim bezel, and stands on a pair of modern aluminium metallic feet.

Picture quality is improved with 2018’s with new and improved VA panels delivering better contrast. Also onboard is Philips Micro Dimming system, Pixel Precise Ultra picture processing and 4K UHD natural motion. All of this offers superb images free from motion blur and judder.

Back to Philips Saphi Smart TV Operating system. This is debuting in the UK and promises a fast, intuitive Smart experience that makes navigating popular Smart Apps like Netflix, YouTube, Freeview Play and BBC iPlayer simple and easy.

The 6703 will also be one of the first Philips TV’s to have Google Assistant Built-in (to be released by the second half of 2018), enabling users to voice control Google assist apps and smart home devices, without leaving the sofa.

philips 4k 6753 anglePhilips is also launching the 6753, available only as a 55-inch model. This set will have the same features as the 6703 but with a metal open stand for an extra premium feel.

Both models include 20W of surround sound.

7000 Series

In addition to new high-quality VA panels, the 7303 features the exceptional P5 picture processing engine – which debuted in Philips premium award winning 9002 model. P5 process offers an incredible 50% more performance than Philips previous high-end Perfect Pixel Ultra HD System.

The 7303 also features the Android SMART TV platform.

Benefiting from a dark silver premium finish, a slim bezel and an elegant matte metal frame central stand. Furthermore, the 7303 extends the action with Ambilight technology on three sides and also has the option to connects to Philips Hue. That would really complete your total immersion.

Improvements to the sound have been made with an upgrade to DTS HD Premium, offering 20 watts of High Definition premium sound quality to match the on-screen imagery.

The 7303 uses the latest Quad-core processors matched with Android Smart TV (16GB) and will also be one of the first Philips TV’s to have Google Assistant Built-in. This feature will be released by the second half of 2018.

The 7303 is available in the UK in 50-inch and 55-inch screens.
