Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro – like a MacBook Pro but better?

mi notebook proXiaomi is out to amaze yet again. This time with a laptop aimed squarely at the MacBook Pro – the Mi Notebook Pro.

The Chinese company wowed us with its iPhone-killing smartphone last year. The Mi Mix definintely shook things up and I am sure many manufacturers took note. I am really looking forward to the new one launching soon.

Well, Xiaomi is showing what they can do with a laptop. Not content with coming in quietly with a modest attempt, it’s aiming for Apple’s MacBook Pro.

MacBook Pro Vs Notebook Pro

Launching the Mi Notebook Pro it not only takes Apple’s naming convention, but compares it directly with the Apple portable.

This follows Xiaomi’s first entry in to the laptop arena with its Mi Notebook Air. Guess what that was taking a shot at? 😉

Price and availability

Xiaomi is pricing its Mi Notebook Pro at 6399 Chinese yuan (just under £745) for the base model.

However, they don’t mention where you’ll be able to get their laptop.

Xiaomi previously started selling its Mi Notebook Air in China, so it’s likely that the Notebook Pro will be limited to China initially. It might be worth checking out GearBest soon.
