Fiat Drops The Top Of The 500c
I’ve made no secret of the fact that I really dig the Fiat 500.
It’s more faithfully retro than the BMW Mini in my mind (I know; that’s a strange place to keep a Mini) and, let’s face it, the Italians know a few things about style.
Well, to add a little something to the 2008 design Fiat have launched the Fiat 500 C.
Yup, it’s a variation on that cool retro design but with the added bonus of the ability of pulling back that fabric top and catch some rays.
You are offered the chance of getting the Pop or Lounge model; both of which have the ‘power operated’ hood, air-conditioning, a CD/MP3 player, seven airbags and electric door mirrors.
If you chuck across a bit of extra wad to your Fiat dealer for the Lounge you get climate control, stability control, fog lights, a Bluetooth phone kit and communications package and also rear parking sensors.
Engine sizes range from 1.2 to 1.4 while colour and interior options are as plentiful and fun to play with as before.
The Pop starts from £11,300 and the Lounge at £12,700.
