Asus Eee Pad Slider – Official Specification and Release Date

It was starting to look like the naming of the Asus Eee Pad Slider was more to do with its ever-sliding release date than with its clever QWERTY board. Word is that it will finally be launched next month and GadgetyNews has its confirmed specification list!

If you have been waiting for the Asus convertible tablet to arrive then your countdown to launch can start now as the grapevine suggests September looks strong for the UK release as this is when our Italian cousins are expecting the Eee Pad Slider.

Asus have now updated the product page so the following are the actual, real, confirmed specifications: The Asus Eee Pad Slider will arrive loaded with Android Honeycomb 3.1 which will be bumped up to Android 3.2 shortly after launch.

The Slider will come in both 16GB or 32GB flavours which will be equipped with a 1280×800 WXGA screen, dual-core 1GHz Tegra 2 processor, 1GB memory, a 5MP rear camera, 1.2MP front-facing camera, USB 2.0, mini-HDMI, a microSD card reader, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

The icing on this tablet-based confection is that the Asus Eee Pad Slider will be bundled with a year’s free unlimited cloud storage via Asus WebStorage.
