Apple Tablet iSlate Confirmed – 10.1 Inch Screened iPhone

Ok – so none of the following iSlate news is particularly new but the fact that it comes from a very reliable and connected source makes this type-worthy.

Kai-fu Lee, ex-president of Google China, is well hooked up with Apple manufacturing partner Foxconn.

He couldn’t hide his excitement and has spilled some details on his blog.

Here’s the translation of Lee’s microblog:

The Apple Tablet looks like a bigger iPhone that sports an awesome UI packed in a beautiful 10.1-inch screen. The tablet combines the functions of both netbook and kindle, an ebook reader. It has virtual keyboard for text entry and a webcam for video conferencing

Apple seems to have high expectations for the new gadget – word is that Apple will be making 10 million units of this tablet in the first year.

So, nothing amazing but this is as close as we’ve had to Jobs coming out himself and admitting that this whole iSlate thing is real and not a terrible joke 🙂
